Training on interviewing skills for Line Managers

Vodafone, one of the leaders of telecommunications market, had a request for delivery of training for line managers of Kiev regional branch on interviewing skills.
SWP service provided
SWP developed customized training program for Vodafone line managers on effective interviewing skills, which covered all aspects related to effective interviewing:
º Interviewing basics: different interview types and their specifics
º Preparation for interviewing: job profile analysis, candidate’s CV screening, interview structure
º Biographical interview: specifics, purpose, questions, practice
º Motivational interview: specifics, purpose, types of questions, practice
º Competency based interview: specifics, structure, types of questions, STAR model
º Consolidating information, evaluation and making conclusion on the candidate
º Providing feedback to candidates (both internal & external).
Training program was developed based on Vodafone values model and took into consideration specifics of recruitment process in the company.
Outcomes
º 24 managers participated in training sessions on effective interviewing, practiced and advanced their interviewing (biographical, competency-based, motivational interview) and decision-making skills
º Managers also received Interview guide, developed by SWP on Vodafone corporate competency model and practiced during training, which they can use as a manual and interview script for conducting real-life interviews with candidates.

Recruitment services and Talent Mapping
Client’s request
Vodafone, one of the leaders of telecommunications market, had a request for researching potential candidates’ market in 3 regions of Ukraine in order to evaluate the market, analyze salary levels and employer brand perception, identity potential ‘stars’ to fill in current job openings and create external talent pool for future openings. SWP had successful experience in providing recruitment services for Vodafone (filling in middle management roles) and was selected as provide for delivering candidate’s market research.

At the first stage we have identified and aligned with the client target positions (Branch Director/Regional Director/Territory Manager) and target companies (research covered 8 telecommunication companies and 5 companies operating on FMCG market). Afterwards we have delivered comprehensive research and identification, communication and interviewing.
Outcomes
As a results of research our client received detailed research report covering description of potential candidates’ market in 3 regions, 8 telecom companies, 5 FMCG companies which included:
º Brief summary of the research and major findings
º Detailed information about each of 12 companies researched: regional offices structure, number of employees employed, current business situation, names and surnames of target professionals, readiness to consider new career opportunities, brief professional bio description
Report included information about 80 professionals holding target roles. Company also received 39 CVs on candidates who were ready to be considered for career openings at that moment or in foreseen future.
